Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Atikah Nazri @snatikahnazr

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi i’m atikah nazri and i’m getting older every 26th april. I’m still studying and i’m taking english communication programme. I am a youtuber but my youtube channel is not growing well. Actually, i’ve started my youtuber channel account since 2013 but i do private all of my videos because i don’t have enough confident for that. But in 2015, i gained the confident after watching a lot of zoella’s video on youtube. I want to be a successful instagrammer and youtuber. Btw, i’m from malaysia!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I really into fashion, food and drinks, photography and travel. I’m that kind of person that will feel sad if couldn’t take any picture if i went to a nice place. Usually, i will post my outfit of the day and nice views on my instagram account. I also want a nice feed so i will post pictures with the same filter.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

There is nothing special about my instagram name. It is just a shortform of my full name. I’ve a long, so i’ve to make it short. My name is too mainstream. I need to create a unique name to own my account’s username.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I am using iphone to take most of my picture. I just use the iphone filter if the quality of the picture is good enough. If not, i will use vsco and facetune to make over my picture.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are so many instagrammers that i like. I like to see the pictures from zoella, mylifeaseva, pointlessblog, tanyaburr, weeklychrist, j0.ms, cupcake_aisyah, faafirds, farisafrina, vivyyusof and neelofa. That instagrammer that inspires me the most in neelofa. She has her own business and so talented in acting.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I would like my fellow instagrammers to travel around their countries because there are so many things that they have never seen in their life. I want them to have a lot of experiences in their life because we only live once. When they are travelling, i want them to exposed to the world about their fashion and lifestyle. Actually, my family also have our own business. We sell a lot of home appliances and also food. One of the most requested food in our business is Sambal Hitam. I really want them to try it by buying them from me. I would like to expand my family business to the worldwide. That is my wish.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favourite part about being an influencer is get to know more people whether malaysian or prople from other countries. I want to expose malaysia’s culture and lifestyle to them. Malaysia is just a small country but i really hope it can be a really well-known company before 2020.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I will keep posting pictures on my instagram account about the brands and write a really persuasive caption. I will do a research to peoples and ask their opinions about the brands. I will compile all of the positive opinions in one video and post it on my social medias. This is because people will become more attracted to buy things from the brand if we already provide good evidences that the products from the bransd are really high quality products. I am going to post at least one photo a day as my engagement to the brands.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think being honest is the best advice. If i want to tell a story about the place that i’ve visited on instagram, i must tell the truth. I will only give sincerely comments about the pictures that i’ve posted on my instagram account. so when they go to that place, they will feel very pleased because they have known some information about that place.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Honestly, i really love to try new products and be the first person that try it on. I can make money while growing my social account. I’m just being honest because i dont want to fool anyone. Thank you.
