Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Arcee Maru Caparas @arceecaparas

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a fresh graduate of Business Administration major in Financial Management and now I am currently working in an electric company. I grow up here in Philippines and living a simple life. When I’m off to work I spend my time surfing on web reading some articles on social medias such as facebook, instagram, twitter, and other social medias out there. What I love doing the most is fashion and traveling. This is where half of my money goes. Haha!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

What always caught my attention is fashion, most of the time it is what I seek on Instagram (IG) and other sites. Another thing I love to seeing on IG are places, it is an interesting topic for me cause I love to travel, it is what I usually post on my IG. If you could see my profile description you would read “This is my Journey”. Instagram is my most used app on my phone it’s like a journal to me where I post exciting things about life that can benefit others.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name is simple, it is just me, my real name but not my full name (arceecaparas). Well I don’t use any code names because I love to hear people calling me by my name it sounds special to me.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

There are two main editing apps I use when editing my photos. First, I use snapseed. It is where I brighten up my pictures, adjust contrast, and ambiance. What I like about snapseed is that it has a tool called selective where you can easily select a part on your picture that you want to adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation without ruin the whole picture. The last process I used for editing pictures is “VSCO”. I really love how this app makes my pictures comes so clean. VSCO helps a lot of instagrammers to achieve the feed goals they want. Well, if you don’t know the “feed goal” thing, it is like making a theme for your IG. My instagram theme, I called it “bright” because it’s brighter than your future. Haha! Just kidding. I make sure that every color on my pictures pops up. VSCO is a great app for it cause it has a lot of filters.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are plenty of instagrammers I really like and spend time looking at their feeds. One of them is THATSHEART (Heart Defensor) , a youtube sensation for her makeup tutorials and fashion. Another one is LOUISE.DR (Louise De Los Reyes) an actress here in the Philippines. What I like about them is that they have a great sense in photography and I really love how they managed their IG.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If there is one thing my fellow instagrammer jus got to try, I want them to try to explore! Be adventurous! Travel places, take a shot and eat wherever you are. Travelling is the most great experience you’ll ever have in life and a treasure you will keep for the rest of your life.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being an influencer is a great opportunity to lead people and my favorite part about it, is that you can inspire them, spread knowledge, and giving advice. Being intouch to your followers will give you a chance to learn more from them and to know what they want and need.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

One of my tip to brands for running their campaigns is that they should know ehat people wants to see in their brands, what they should really expect, and what benefits they will get. Knowing what your consumer wants and needs is a great key for getting their attention and attachment.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Let me say this in this way. You are born unique and if you live the way what other does, you will never know who you really are and what great things you can do. Just like what quality and original content is. If you do not make you own work, you will never know what great things you can do. Be inspire and don’t copy! I always keep this in my mind “It doesn’t matter how slowly you go as long as you don’t stop” -confucius

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I still don’t experience partnering with brands. But if I had one, aside from having the product for free what good about it is that you gain more experience and having more connection to other people.
