Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Antonmattei @alaniscolina

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Unlike most photographers out there, I am also a model and a blogger. I am Boricua, I come from a small island in the Caribbean called Puerto Rico.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am very into fashion and having a fresh lifestyle. When I say lifestyle, I mean discovering new places and new foods. My instagram posts consists of new locals and I promote them by giving my review.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s my name and my last name. It’s pretty self explanatory but I go by the name “Antonmattei” or “Anton” because of my step-dad (yes, stepdads can be really cool)

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I typically edit in VSCOcam for filters and saturation and then I move on to Picsart to do some whitening on the areas that have gray tones.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really don’t have one specifically because every instagrammer that I follow, I tend to grasp ideas from their photos and make it to my own style.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

You need to try every coffee that every coffee shop gives you (Ethiopian, Puerto Rican, Colombian, you name it!) Coffee is like wine, it’s an acquire taste you build up and when you do build up the taste of it, you’ll be tasting every inch of the world that has coffee. Plus, it makes you feel cultured.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part about being an influencer is that I get to inspire others to do things. I like that other people take risks and get out of their comfort because of my crazy encounters that I have in my life.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Always be yourself. Don’t sugar-coat anything because people won’t like it. People like a person for being themselves and giving their honest opinion. My fellow instagrammers seem to like that about me.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The quality and original content is the key for selling and promoting. The more spontaneous it is, the better it is to sell.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I give my honest opinion, that’s a quality that people like about me. In addition, it’s pretty cool that you can connect with other people and meet other different crowds.
