Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ángel Marchini @angel.marchini

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Angel H Marchini. I am based in Toronto, Canada. I’m a professional photographer specializing in live music, sports, events, lifestyle and portrait photography. I freelance for several local publications as well as being represented by ZUMA Press worldwide. Some of my images have been published in the WSJ, Newsweek, etc.

I have always had a passion for photography. To help fuel this passion, I started photographing everything that crossed my path.

During this journey, I had the luck to count as my mentor the amazing Igor Vidyashev from RockExposure. His advice and mentoring helped elevate the quality of the work I produce.

My years of work covering local acts/events from small venues all the way to macro festivals, have provided me with invaluable experience in all kind of environments and situations. I understand how an image can convey more meaning than words are able to.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Music. I love photography. I love music. I can not reconcile one without the other. I happily undertake all other kinds of projects but it is in the fusion of music and photography that I excel the most. There is no feeling like the one experienced when expressing through an image the emotions that the music you are hearing stirs in you.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Its my name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Adobe Lightroom (primarily) and Adobe Photoshop

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really, really like @rockxposure He has been my mentor as well as being a great friend. His talent is amazing.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Just keep posting. Keep creating and keep growing. The worst thing you can do is become stagnant.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I get to share my adventures and misadventures. There is no greater feeling that ensuring others don’t make the same mistakes as you.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Set your goals. Make sure they are attainable. Make sure they are realistic
Stick with a social network. Don’t try to diversify too much
Engage with your audience in a genuine way. Don’t sounds/be fake

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Its essential to avoid social boredom. We live in a time where content is consumed very fast. If you want to make an impression you have to be memorable. Original content helps with that.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I see it as a symbiotic relationship. Collaborating with brands allows me to extend myself and grow. It allows me to create exceptional and unique content that I could have never have done on my own.
