Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Andrey @photravel_ru

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

The last few years I have devoted myself to travel. This means that I do not build a career, I do not buy furniture and many things, because in order to travel I do not need many things. I’d rather save some money to stay somewhere where I like longer. However, there is something without which I do not get satisfaction from traveling anywhere. This is my camera. I can’t help myself, and I have a great passion for capturing everything in high-quality images (and more recently, videos for blogs and Instagram stories). I am glad that my audience is growing and happy to share content.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Any travel destinations, cities, beaches, architecture, mostly the spots which are popular on Google Maps. And last years I started to publish travel books in photos. They contain nearly 100 destinations for Instagram drool-worthy shooting and fantastic sightseeing in each city. They help to explore and capture different cities and countries such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Miami, Prague, Thailand and the ancient city of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.
So most of the photos on my Instagram account are from my books because I want to make them available in digital format too.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s easy. Photravel combines my 2 main passions “Photography “ and “Travel” in one word.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually prefer do not edit photos because my principal is to show the place as it is and I always use manual settings when I take photos. But sometimes I use Lightroom, Photoshop, Snapseed and Lens Distortions

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I would say I don’t have it because it takes a lot of time to create the content so I don’t really follow some specific person. Sometimes I look to the photos and stories of my friends

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try to live without smartphone and Instagram for a month :)))

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I can do what I like to do and inspire other people

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Stay natural as much as possible. Create the stories not about their product but about something what many people are interested in. And just show their product in between. People themselves will be interested in your business after they enjoy the video or photo.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think you should not get too hung up on originality. Sometimes the simpler the better. But always must be a good quality

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

We have a little in common. And I’m glad if my little help contributes to the growth of a good business.
