1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
My name is Ana and I am a student of management with great passion for marketing. I come from Belgrade, in Serbia, but I am planning to broaden my knowledge by pursuing a master’s program abroad. My great passion is learning new languages and teaching other people English.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I love cosmetics, that’s exactly what my blog is about. Aside from makeup and creams that I usually post on Instagram, I also enjoy posting tasty and nice looking food, flowers, an occasional selfie and pictures from trips or interesting spots around my city.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
It came from the name of my blog, Me, Makeup and I (eye). It is kind of a word play about makeup, eye makeup, or just thinking about makeup and cosmetics constantly 😀
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I usually use ACDSee photo editing tools or some phone app, Instagram options can sometimes be quite useful and good too. My favorite routine consists of taking a pic with my love, Canon Eos Kiss x4, editing a photo on my computer and then redoing it with Instagram. When my camera is not with me, I take photos with my phone and edit them on the go.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
A difficult one, there is a ton of them! I guess Mimi Ikonn, Camilla Coelho are really gorgeous and inspiring with their positive attitude and just amazing photos.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Trying not to post a photo of food right when you get it, especially if you are on a date 😀 I know it’s not a very practical thing, but it makes me nervous if I don’t post it IMMEDIATELY. I just love it and can’t help it, but doing my best to change that little annoying habit(annoying for the other party, of course!).
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
The best part is letting people know about new things or just products that I love or don’t like so much. My biggest satisfaction is when followers tell me they bought something I recommended and loved it. I just couldn’t be happier then because I know I am always giving my honest opinion and critique.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
I think that communication and collaboration with bloggers is super important because they are the ones people believe, especially if they are honest in their reviews. In order to be authentic and one of a kind these days… I think talking to those that are in direct contact with their followers and bloggers that know what they want is important for a bright future of a brand.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Super important. No one likes copy cats and no one appreciates that. If my effort is valued and acknowledged, then I will have the need to be better and do more, improve myself as a blogger, photographer, editor, copywriter. If you want to copy something, state where you got it from.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
Meeting new people, networking, working with people that are in the industry that I love. It always starts as a hobby, but we never know if blogging will turn into a job and that is the best part. Getting to meet interesting people that might be your colleagues in the future and having the best job on the planet!
