Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Amirah Sabrina @jpbrinx

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I was born in Subang Jaya, Selangor and right now I am studying mechanical engineering in Seoul, South Korea. I have stayed in Korea for about 2 years now and will continue to stay there until I complete my bachelor’s degree in another 3 years.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My interests would be in fashion and beauty especially ones related to K-beauty and K-fashion. I also do K-pop dance covers so I mostly post them on my Instagram profile along with outfit ideas and makeup looks.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My parents used to call me ‘jepun’ when I was younger so that’s how the jp part of jpbrinx came about. And for brinx, it’s my current nickname (brina) but I just decided to spell it in sort of a ‘cooler’ way.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I mostly use Lightroom and Snow or sometimes VSCO. It really depends on what type of photo it is, the lighting and quality of the photo.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really am inspired a lot by @best.dressed. She inspires me a lot in the way she connects with her fans and followers.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I get to connect with people all over the region and share our common interests and passions. I also get to inspire a lot of people in terms of being able to study overseas and maintain a balanced life between studies and passion.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I look forward to doing a lot of campaigns with StarNgage in the future. I hope I will be given the chance to prove myself as a capable and multitalented influencer. 😉

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

First off, I think brands need to know specifically who their target audiences are and then cater to those audiences by selecting specific influencers or platforms in order to better promote their product. And of course, it is super important to maintain authenticity so the best way of doing that is to always be updated with the current trends.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Nowadays, it is so easy to just steal other people’s content and repost it without their permission or giving them credit but that obviously would lead to a lack of trust from the followers. Therefore, I think it is super important to maintain high-quality original content so you don’t lose the trust and loyalty of your followers.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Brands usually have a high standard of products so it is easier for me as an influencer to promote it to my followers.
