Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Amber Cadena @seamlessly_amber

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from a low income family but was taught that love is where the gold will always be in life, not money. I was born in Long Beach, California. My Biological dad lived there but my mother originally lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. About 5 years later from when I was born my sister was born. My mom, sister and I later moved here to New Mexico when I was around 6 or so because my mother and father’s relationship turned into a domestic violence one. My mother knew she didn’t want us to grow up seeing that so she left not only for herself but for us. When we moved out here, I knew I had big shoes to fill in being the first born. I matured quickly. My mother later on found a love and they got married and had children I am the oldest of 5 kids. In my teens I discovered makeup and it was an escapism from reality… When I would do my makeup I would be in a world that only I was in and I could create anything and be anyone. I also met my soulmate that I’ve now been with now going on 6 years. We later graduated high school together (I, being the first out of my whole family including my mom and dad) then went to college to study criminal justice. I stop going though because I’m not sure on what I want to do for the rest of my life. I do know one thing though, I have a dream involving makeup and I am going to make it come true.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Makeup is my most popular topic on Instagram but I also love posting about my family, my loved one, and my newly discovered interest, dirt bike riding. I also love quotes and the beauty of things.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I’ve had my Instagram for so long and I remember my first name was “Pastel_Love” lol. I only had that Instagram name not long before I changed it to “seamlessly_amber” I chose that name because I wanted it to be unique and beautiful… I felt like the word “seamlessly” meant it just was and it just happened without effort, and that’s how I want to be. And Amber is my middle name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I love the “Aden” filter on Instagram and I also use the VSCO app.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Jaclyn hill is my all around inspiration.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

False eyelashes! They make your makeup look so much more dramatic and can bring out your personality more.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I have a chance to inspire someone else. Also to help show them the products that are worth the money and the ones that aren’t.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Always be yourself and say things you truly mean. If you truly like something then it will show.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Everything I post I strive to be quality over quantity and to be myself.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

You get to be a sponsor of someone else’s dream and hard work that they put into that brand. That to me is amazing.
