Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Allison Blackman @alliblackman

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am originally from Southern New Jersey, born in Philly. I went to school and received a Bachelor’s in Chemistry but always continued performing in shows, which I started doing at a young age. I now work for a fragrance company during the day, but I am also perusing my acting career.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My main topics of interest are film, acting, and modeling. I post mainly pictures from different film sets and modeling shoots but I also post some pictures of food and watches (my favorite piece if jewelry).

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Just my name 🙂 No gimmicks, just being myself.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use VSCO most of the time but I do love the app called Color Story. I like to keep some kind of color theme. VSCO helps keep a rustic/darker overlay to any picture and keeps my page appealing.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I follow this one model named madeleinemichael. She started out as a photographer (I believe) and she has now over 30K followers and now works in front of the camera. It is really inspiring to see her start from a few thousand followers and grow exponentially over a small period of time. Not to mention she is stunning!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Graze!! Love their snack box. Just around $12 per box and you can customize fun and healthy snacks for work or for on the go!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I really love connecting with people from all over. You can learn a lot from them and I love being inspired on a daily basis to better myself and to better my interactions with people each day. Everyone has a story and it is truly amazing that social media can connect us all so we are able to tell them.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Stay true to your brand! Send products to instagrammers that you KNOW will love & feature your product. Develop relationships with your advertisers as well – this will help spread the word that your business is authentic and reliable.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Always be yourself. Don’t be afraid of posting what makes you feel happy and confident. Other users will follow you because of your bravery and how well you can relate to others.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love being able to try/wear new products and spread the word organically.
