1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I’m a dancer, artist, blogger, & stylist. I started my blogging when I was involved with an online magazine, and I wanted to be my own boss with creative freedom (because I find that freedom is the most important in an artist’s creation process).
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I post a lot of fashion-related content. I usually put outfits together and create different concepts and ideas, and surprise myself with the outcome.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My instagram name used to be “AaroooonG” (gross, I know) which was my username from Twitter back in my highschool days. My current instagram name, AARXN SCOTT was taken from my real name, and decided to substitute one of the letters into an X.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
To be honest, I take the time to edit my photos through Photoshop. When I have raw photos that my photographers don’t have the time to edit, I would edit them myself and spend some time in each photo.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
Denny623 is the man who made me want to start blogging. I like his lifestyle & fashion-based content and I find it very simple, yet classy. I also really admire mxdvs & kedecc for their clean feeds!
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Find your niche. If you’re an aspiring blogger and want your page to get noticed, I believe finding your page’s niche is important. You need to find a reason people will look at your page because that’s the only source of that certain content.
Oh, and also, consistency. You need to stay consistent posting your stuff because you can easily be forgotten.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
My favorite part? It’s the creative freedom. It feels amazing having all the freedom to just create what you want, and also not caring what people’s opinions are about it.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
“What the f*ck?”. That’s the goal. To make everyone curious, to make them wonder, to make them ask “What the f*ck was he thinking?”. Make everyone wonder about the message you’re trying to relay, and yet the answer is there right in front of them.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
First of all, credit the ones who own the rights to the content. It’s just respectful. Second, it’s okay to be inspired by other people’s work, but stealing their ideas is a big NO NO. Create from your own creative mind, because no one can say your art is “bad”, coz there’s no such thing.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I like how brands trust me with the outcome. I love the challenge of having to create around things that are outside of my comfort zone. And to be able to work with like-minded people is always the most educating experience.
