Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Aaron Aldé @borntobalenciaga

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m currently studying International Business in Grenoble, France. I come from Malaysia; a small country in Southeast Asia.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post everything I think that’s interesting to me. It ranges from portraits, landscapes, my travels as well as my interpretation of the world.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I’ve always adored the brand ‘Balenciaga’, and I feel like I want to embody the quality of the brand as a photographer.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I heavily use VSCOCam. But at times, I also use Lightroom as well. My photo-editing routine? Well, a magician never tells 😉

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Misshattan, cainite_, lastsuspect, insighting and so many more. Everyday I keep myself updated to their exploits and I aspire to be any one of them in the near future.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try to find your own muse. Everyone keeps copying each other, they lose originality. That’s the one thing that should be constant. Always.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The best part is that I get to do what I love. Everyday.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I only remain to one truth. Let the creativity flow, because at times, the best ideas come from random things.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Keep true to yourself. Experiment, find your muse and flourish.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love meeting people. I feel like there’s so much to learn from one another. Though, the best thing about partnering with brands is the fact that I get to put my own emotion into a job I’m given. Like Van Gogh, a piece of myself is always inserted into the work I do.
