1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am from and still live in the United Kingdom, was originally in the Army as an adventurous training instructor and then ran a country pub for a few years.

I’m now a professional travel photographer/writer/blogger and social media travel influencer.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel, wildlife, people, culture and landscapes.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s a brand name was already using it on my website and other social media channels so it was natural.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Photoshop express, Polarr and Snapseed ‘in the field’, Photoshop and Lightroom once back with my laptop/computer.

When mobile, usually work through the apps making slight tweaks which will improve the image, working with jpegs.

Full editing with more powerful software is using RAW images and possibly more sweeping changes.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Wow, so many, love the stuff of Larry Marshall, Nala Rinaldo and Kakarenko though

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Single malt whisky!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Sharing, inspiration or tips, there is nothing more satisfying that a photo or post which inspires or helps a fellow traveller decide on a destination or thing to do.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Work with brands you can identify with, those you trust and would use any way regardless of sponsorship. Brands that mesh will provide much more successful campaigns as they will be authentic.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Both are essential if you wish to capture the imagination of the reader/viewer. Content needs to inspire but be something which they can relate to. Quality content is not time restricted, it may trigger inspiration again many years from the first instance it connected.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Collaborations make the world go round, and as long as they fit well and of equal benefit for both parties, they can work exceptionally well.
