A coconut tree at Murud beach bent at almost 90 degees because of the retreating monsoon winds on the western margin of India! Murud is a semi-rural place with a blend of small cottages owned by fishermen and local inhabitants and huge, elegant bungalows of the urban rich population. Murud is also a tourist attraction as it overlooks an ancient fort built in the middle of Arabian Sea by emperor Siddi Jauhar.
