Visiting the ancient sandstone canyon that soars above dense palm forests is a major icon of Australia’s Red Centre, obviously a must for any backpackers down under.
At the end of 2016, traveling through the middle of Australia taking in all the moments. Standing high at the top of Kings Kanyon, or maybe Mars? It was certainly hot enough.
Kings Canyon is part of the Watarrka National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. Sitting at the western end of the George Gill Range, it is 323 km southwest of Alice Springs and 1,316 km south of Darwin.
