The Pandas gathered at Dairy Farm Nature Park with our friends from @nparksbuzz for a day, planting trees as part of the #OneMillionTrees movement! Species of trees planted on that day were mainly native and endangered species like the Buchanania arborescens (Sparrows' Mango), Crytophyllum fragrans (Tembusu), Sloetia elongata (Tempinis), Sterculia parviflora (Common Sterculia), and Syzygium Cerasiforme (Common Kelat). Bonds were built, fun was had, and trees were planted! Special thanks to the migrant workers who helped us out, they truly are our unsung heroes. π³π³π³ #togetherpossible

Coveted for its rich, melodious song, rampant poaching and habitat loss have threatened to silence our forests of the Straw Headed Bulbul's marvellous call... But there's still hope! The species has established a stronghold in Singapore, with around 50% of local populations seeking refuge in the protected areas of Pulau Ubin. If you come across any of these little songbirds while on your #DateWithNature , be sure to take lots of pictures and tag us for a chance to be featured! πΈ Image Credits: @woodforthetr33s @neo.wildlife @nickerlee Source: https://www.nparks.gov.sg/florafaunaweb/fauna/3/6/36 #Biodiversity #LocalWildlife #StrawHeadedBulbul #BirdWatching

Check out our passionate team of volunteers who helped cleanup the Kallang River on a pedal boat! β¨ Plastic trash is more common in our water bodies than you think! After just 2 hours, we managed to collect 30KG of waste in the waterway π± At WWF-Singapore, we work with businesses on effective ways to reduce plastic consumption at the consumer-level, such as our Reusable Packaging Pilot Programme. This helps create a circular economy where we reduce and reuse our waste (reducing the chances of it travelling into our waterways)! Swipe to the end to see our passionate volunteers in action! π€© Donate to support our local initiatives at closertohome.wwf.sg

Plan on making the switch to reusable packaging? Here are some things to keep in mind! #SWOP #PlasticACTion #CollectiveAction
Reusable e-commerce packaging could be the answer to Singapore's packaging waste problem! By reducing our use of single-use plastic packaging, we can prevent the build-up of waste in our landfills and avoid the use of precious new resources, thus saving up to 2kg of CO2 per kilogram of virgin material. That's equivalent to what one tree would absorb in a month! Return your reusable e-commerce packaging today!
