If you want to get more vitamins and minerals into your life but don't want to spend time washing, chopping, stemming or cooking, then look out for our box of Baby Greens! So, what exactly are Baby Greens? Well, they are exactly what they sound like - typical leafy greens, including Pak Choi, Kale, Spinach, Arugula, Lettuces and more, harvested just a few weeks old. They are sweet, tasty and packed full of nutrition! Excellent sources of Vitamins A, C, and K and depending on variety, good sources of the minerals calcium and potassium. Baby Greens are best eaten raw since they are so tender as is. But, they work well lightly cooked and served with warm dishes too! Ever wondered why our grow lights seem to be enveloped in a pink-purple glow? You may already know that sunlight is actually a mixture of all the different wavelengths in the visible light color spectrum (these are the rainbow colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet). But what you may not know is that, although plants need light to grow, they don’t need the light of all these wavelengths. Studies have shown that plants respond best to just the red and blue wavelengths; this may be because the earliest plants grew millions of years ago in the ocean, and red and blue are the wavelengths that are able to penetrate underwater most effectively. Regular traditional grow lights are in fact giving plants more light spectra than they need, thus wasting energy used to produce those extra wavelengths. Our LED Grow Lights though offer the option of “targeted wavelengths” as they are able to emit specific spectrums, efficiently cutting out the unnecessary wavelengths, producing that pink glow in the process. #heavvenly #productivve
