Influencer Marketing Case Studies: Take on a social media fitness challenge!

 

Republic of Singapore Navy collaborated with StarNgage through its agency to raise awareness and increase engagement for #TheRSNChallenge.

#TheRSNChallenge campaign aimed to bring to light the true strength and grit of RSN personnel and amplify the dedication that goes into their daily trainings, which continue in spite of time or space constraints. This is done by the spread of a special RSN social media challenge, similar to the various Challenges such as Mannequin Challenge or The Running Man Challenge.

The main messaging behind the challenge is to communicate that every RSN personnel takes fitness seriously and will “drop it down” any time of the day to maintain their fitness levels.

 

Goals

  • Primary Objective – To generate awareness and participation in the #TheRSNChallenge campaign

Approach

  • Engaged influencers to take on the fitness challenge – perform the following set of exercises (done the same order) within 60secs: Squats (15 reps), Crunches (15 reps), Push ups (15 reps)
  • The influencers have to perform the fitness challenge at their ‘day job’s’ workplace in their ‘normal’ attires or as a part of their daily routine
  • The videos are uploaded to Instagram with the hashtags #TheRSNChallenge
  • The captions have to address the significance of working out anywhere and anytime in order to show that they have the same dedication and strength as RSN personnel
  • At the end of the captions, the influencers also needed to tag 3 friends to take up the challenge

Results

  • Exposure to over 172,000+ followers of influencers
  • 21 campaigns related posts
  • Likes received: 8,200+ Likes
  • Comments received: 270+ Comments

Introducing the #TheRSNChallenge where it aims to show everyone that working out can be done anytime & anywhere, even while waiting for my Grab driver to come. While he takes 5 mins to arrive, I'll use that time to get in a quick one 😉 • As a former member of the RSN myself during my National Service, I understand their hardwork and determination. Which is why I nominate my fellow brothers in arms to take up this challenge as well to show the true spirit of the Navy ⚓. @bryanlimxx , @pocketigers & @clizmb It should be an easy day for you guys so let me up the game for y'all. Do 1 sets of 20 Squats, 20 Crunches & 20 Push Ups for 1 min. Let's see how you fare 💪🏻 This challenge only the beginning 😈 #RSNxStarNgage

✔️Doing The RSN challenge(in between my clients) !!! Why !? To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Republic of Singapore Navy😊 and to show everyone can do a workout anytime and anywhere , because there will be times that might be not convenient and no matter what ,RSN personnels will make time for fitness because they need to stay fit mentally and physically to watch over our waters !
