•I’m taking a break 8th-26th Sept• Hey ! So I’ll be taking a small break in September to reset after a busy Summer of workshops & tutoring. I’ve had a great time but it’s been exhausting and intense. My Etsy shop will remain open and I will be posting as normal. I will still be replying to emails and website booking requests so that we are set up to go upon my return in October. It was so lovely to have two newbies at this evenings photogram evening session! Both teachers looking to have some creative time in the summer holidays whilst also developing on skills to take back to the classroom. Beautiful outcomes! 💫 some sentimental items in the 2nd image, and experiments with cling film in the 3rd image! a great morning 35mm printing refresher session today with Ranald! Printing from a 25 year old negative on Ilford pearl 8x10, stunning! Ranald has now refreshed his darkroom skills and feel confident to use the darkroom independently and creatively without tuition. Can’t wait to see some future prints! 💫

💫Join me for a Cyanotype Printing workshop as part of the exhibition ‘A Sustainable Photography Plot’ ______ at the UCA project space in Folkestone, The Brewery Tap - as part of the @fstonefringe —— Link in bio —— The Brewery Tap is transformed into a temporary ‘Photography Garden’ by @thanetaltphoto / a new collective formed by myself, @melaniekatking and @kimeconway . We will use plant chemistry and plant matter with photographic material to create sustainable photographic art, including cyanotypes, phytograms and chemigrams. Throughout the exhibition, daily workshops are being held and will populate the walls of the gallery as the work is created by the participants. All workshop participants are invited to be involved in the curatorial planning, culminating in a final show of the participants and the organisers art. A little morning printing after a last minute session postponement - I decided to use the time for myself and print up this gem from the early spring this year. We took a 6am cycle from Westgate on sea to Kingsgate, it was lovely 💫

A lovely afternoon delivering a cyanotype printing workshop with my fortnightly creative group at Take Off charity. Take Off is a mental health & well-being charity based across Kent, they offer a wide range of support groups for people looking for additional support and community. 🌿 Side note: I am running the Brighton Marathon in September (26.2 miles!) - I’ve been signed up for a couple of years now but we all know what’s happened there!
