Behind the scene there were a lot of coordination and planning and we are so thankful that this project turned out well with 10 pairs of residents who signed up to participate in @genlabco intergen activities today. Our volunteers spend about 2 days to complete and touch up on the paintings and I am thankful for all those who were called last minute to help @beaukova Petra This mural project can't be completed and successful without all your help and dedication ! Hi guys, I have been seeing new followers joining me and I thought it's time to show up and introduce myself. I am Esther Peck, my maiden surname Peck is pretty unusual and I like to keep it though I am happily married to an Ong. Art and painting are practically linked to me my whole life. In my early 20s, I took up a Western Fine Art course after a graphic design course was fully booked. I worked full time as designer & graphic artist for about 6 years before decided to become a homemaker & freelance artist. It was not till 20 years ago that I started painting again in acrylics and teaching at my home studio. I only started painting in watercolour about 7 years ago, running workshops at my daughter's cafe Those 3 years of workshops made me realized that teaching art is my calling. With the encouragement of this community, I published 2 books and they sold out within months. My book 'A Guide to Floral Watercolour' is now available at Amazon. In the last 2 years when Covid 19 hits us, I run several online classes via zoom and have opportunity to meet you guys online and I was touched that some of you sacrificed your sleep to join my classes in the middle of the night or even before sunrise! Today I run 18 online classes at Skillshare and continue to teach private classes and onsite classes. I am thrilled that there are still many people excited about watercolour and thus I am going back to teach basics again! I have several YouTube tutorials which you can learn there too!
