Anugerah ini juga merupakan testimoni antarabangsa terhadap pengisian program-program di Pavilion Malaysia seiring dengan tema, konsep dan reka bentuk Pavilion yang bertemakan kanopi hutan hujan (rainforest canopy). Recently, we had the privilege to play host to the future Expo 2025 Osaka team. Malaysia Pavilion’s CG, Datuk Zainal Abidin and Pavilion Director, Michelle Lau welcome the team led by His Excellency Yoshimura Hirofumi, the Governor of Osaka Perfectire and Deputy Chairman of Japan. Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob announced that the Malaysia Pavilion has secured over RM70 billion worth of trade and business leads through its 6-month participation in Expo 2020 Dubai. These leads included over 130 partnerships with governments and businesses, tapping into the economic opportunities of this event. He expressed his gladness that Malaysia’s weekly trade and business programmes during the expo enabled Malaysian companies to leverage the opportunity to grow their network and promote their products to a global marketplace. It was an honour having our Prime Minister, The Honourable Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, and his delegation visit the Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. As a souvenir of his visit, he was presented with a batik painting of the Malaysia Pavilion made by our batik painter, from Kraftangan Malaysia. Malaysia Pavilion structure will remain in Expo site! Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Dato’ Sri Dr. Adham Baba announced that Malaysia Pavilion will participate in Expo 2020 Dubai’s 5-year legacy programme! Joining UAE government’s long-term initiative of repurposing the event site as an integrated mixed-use community, District 2020, the Pavilion will be transformed as the Malaysian Technology and Innovation Hub in the UAE. It will operate on a public-private partnership model.
