“Finding a doctor can be overwhelming. Referrals from friends and family are helpful, of course, but, in partnership with Castle Connolly, we want to make the process easier. “Perhaps the greatest good that emerged from recent years for Seattle restaurants is the proliferation of outdoor dining. Outdoor dining in 2023 no longer means extended seating, but presents new ways to share the street and experience our neighborhoods. Whether we’re imbibing on an elegant rooftop terrace, digging into a bowl of pasta on a verdant porch, or playing cornhole in a beer garden, we claim a bit of the city beyond just the space where we live. With so many more patio experiences to choose from, we offer a few of the most interesting dining experiences under the open sky.” For the full list of suggested patio dining options go to seattlemag.com, click the bio link in IG or if you’re on Facebook, click https://seattlemag.com/eat-drink/the-best-ways-to-patio-dine-in-seattle/ Written by Tiffany Ran Photo courtesy of Salt District Patio #seattle #seattledining #eatseattle

“In this seemingly post-pandemic world, cruise ships once again dock at our shores and visitors flood Pike Place Market, queueing up at the first Starbucks and crowding around the airborne salmon at Pike Place Fish. What should local food lovers recommend to travelers if they only have a few days to spend in this city? Our local restaurant scene has emerged from the pandemic changed in ways that have challenged it financially, but also creatively, so much so that what is quintessential in Seattle speaks to the perseverance and creativity of small food businesses, dishes that reflect the diverse makeup of our city’s population, and creative utilization of our local resources.” Read the full list of quintessential foods for 2023 at seattlemag.com or click the bio link here in IG. “Like all poets, Jane Wong likes to play with language. Collecting words, ordering them, weaving ideas and stories together, then depositing them on paper with the hurried, scrawling motion of a pen or ubiquitous, punctuating taps on a keyboard. The results are magnetic — both for their narrative and lyrical quality. For anyone who has followed Wong’s career during the past decade, her writing is a testament to the old idiom that with age comes wisdom. Not that she wasn’t ever wise, but Wong’s growing maturity as a writer is especially evident in her forthcoming memoir, Meet Me Tonight in Atlantic City, which comes out May 16. In the new work — which looks at Wong’s childhood as she was raised by Chinese immigrant parents and the lasting implicatof that background — the 38-year-old writer ventures into a new genre.” Read the full story on Seattlemag.com or by picking up a print copy of Seattle magazine on news stands.
