A platoon of sea cadets had the elite honour of joining other Cadet Forces at the Belgian Cenotaph Parade in Whitehall, London today! A unique symbol of friendship between our two countries after the First World War, the parade includes Belgian regular and reserve forces as well as veterans and cadet representatives from both nations. This annual tradition dates back to 1934 when King George V granted express permission for Belgium to host a yearly parade at the Cenotaph War Memorial. Did you know that Belgium is the only nation allowed to parade its troops in uniform and bear arms in central London? #SeaCadetsUK #SeaCadetFamily #LifeatSeaCadets @twickenham_sea_cadets

Our cadets are passionate about protecting the environment, which is why we've launched two new tools to help them take action on carbon emissions! π£π The ClimateHero Carbon Calculator allows cadets to check their personal carbon footprint and follow tips to reduce it. Meanwhile, our Sea Cadets Calculator is designed to help cadets work with our volunteers to minimise the carbon impact of our 401 units across the UK. Both calculators are supported by a new training session on Programmes Online! #linkinbio We'd love to hear from cadets and volunteers who have already been inspired by our calculators, share your stories below. πβ»οΈποΈπ #environment #SeaCadetsUK #SeaCadetFamily #LifeatSeaCadets #linkinbio
