3D Blueprint - Organic Vapor Decomposer" Created by Justin Amrhein the @aliyoussefiproject artist in residence from late last year. Come join the artist this Saturday March 27th from 10am-10pm for a full viewing. The sculpture will be lit up in the evening for guests who arrive after dark. Located at 2612 Maison Way, Sacramento, CA 95864 off Fulton Avenue. This exhibition is a completely outdoor event allowing for a very covid friendly art experience. The @aliyoussefiproject is accepting another round of artists for their Artist in Residence program! Artists receive $500/month stipend, work studio @vergeart, and an apartment @rstreetwal for the artists selected for the WAL Residency. More info below. Link to application in bio. The AYP Artist in Residency aims to nurture artists from a diverse range of backgrounds and uplift the work of all artists, with a particular focus on underrepresented perspectives and voices. They welcome all visual artists working with a wide range of mediums. The purpose of the AYP AIR is to grant artists the gift of space so that they may develop and evolve their work during their time in Sacramento. . They’ll be accepting two Verge Residents and two WAL Residents. Residencies are 3 months. One WAL and one Verge artist per cycle (May-July and August-October 2021) . The Verge Residency is 3 months and open to visual artists within a 35-mile radius of Sacramento. Artists receive: -studio work space at Verge -$500 monthly stipend -participation in group show at Verge gallery . The WAL Residency is 3 months and is open to visual artists 35-miles outside of Sacramento. Artist receive: -furnished studio apartment at Warehouse Artist Lofts -studio work space at Verge -$500 monthly stipend ($500 travel stipend available) -participation in group show at Verge Gallery . Shared Resources -Free admission to all Verge member programs -Access to a full service printmaking facility, kiln, Risograph printer, Wifi -A 300 square foot studio at Verge with 24hr access -Community of up to 50 artists on site at WAL -Community of up to 55 artists working on site at Verge -North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Benefits -Free attendance to Verge special events which coincide with the residency term .
