Looking back on our 57th season - in February we painted the Rose red with the 7th annual REGALIA choreographer competition. @@ruger_memmott was awarded a new commission for RDT for our upcoming season (which will premiere in November this year). We are just over a month away from DANCE WEST! Ready to take your dance to the next level while nurturing your whole self? Dance West honors each individual dancer and celebrates everyone's unique journey. It focuses on building relationships with the dancers and directors of the two host companies, the guest faculty, as well as connecting dancers from Salt Lake City and beyond. Dance West not only focuses on the performative aspects of the art form but gives space and time for dancers to develop their entire person–growth as artists and human beings. Repertory Dance Theatre is sad to announce the passing of one of the founding members of RDT. Loa was a company member from 1966-68 and will be remembered as a vivacious performer, choreographer, and distinguished teacher who had a major influence on the development of dance in Utah. Her flaming red hair and dynamic spirit lit up the stage, and her love of dance, skillful teaching methods, and choreography inspired thousands of dancers nationwide. #RDTdance
