Great big bao buns at @neighbourhoodn1 - the new(ish) residency for @mreddiehuang 's @baohausnyc now serving Tues-Sun at 77 Upper St, Islington - BaoHaus originally opened in New York in 2009, serving Taiwanese food until its closure in 2020. A couple of dishes from Cucina Rustica @rusticalondon in their new home at @pembrokesw5 in Earls Court - a fine Mediterranean menu with kofte kebabs, pizza flatbreads, ribs, wings and more. - I tried the big lamb kofte kebab, the sharing ribs, and a portion of fries - all perfectly cooked by chef Giorgio. The Dorayaki Karaage Sando from @wright.chris at @kanpaikitchenpeckham - the izakaya-style hut opposite the @kanpailondon sake brewery and taproom in Peckham SE15. - This is essentially a fried chicken burger inside Japanese pancakes - incredibly tender chicken breast (that almost flakes like a piece of cod), and totally delicious. One to add to the 'chicken sando' list! - Swipe to see a couple of skewers: first, the chicken heart, which might put some people off, but is very tasty, and then an nduja one from their specials board. - I first visited Chris towards the end of last year, and it was good to see that they have survived the winter and emerged smiling on the other side.
