I finally got to taste the viral warabimochi from Warabimochi Kamakura @Kamakura_Singapore at their newly opened 2nd Outlet at Taste Orchard. Warabimochi has always been my favorite type of mochi cause of its silky and light texture. I also personally love the combination of kinako (roasted soy bean powder) and brown sugar served alongside. They also serve their warabimochi as a base in their drinks. I tried both hojicha and matcha and both were great though my personal favorite will be the hojicha. Can’t believe I will be heading into my 13th year of food art journey 🥹!! One of my favorite bento concept has always been these 💤 egg blanket character bento. Thanks to @fujiohsg, it’s easy for me to prepare my kyaraben lunchboxes quickly. Loved how this sleeping fox 🦊 snuggling with the omelette blankets turned out!! Click the link below to check out Fujioh’s bento recipes and product range: Global: https://global.fujioh.com/ SG: https://www.fujioh.com/sg/ Bento recipe Sautéed vegetables with chicken 50g thinly sliced chicken (you can switch to other protein as desired) Colorful vegetables (Sweet peas, Mushroom Sliced Carrots etc) Minced garlic 1 tsp Vegetable oil for frying 1/2 tsp Sesame oil Salt and pepper to taste Seasoning: 1/2 tsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tsp soy sauce, 1/2 tsp dashi powder 1 Season the chicken with seasoning. 2 Heat a wok and fry the garlic with oil. When the aroma comes out, stir-fry the chicken. 3 Once the chicken is almost cooked, add the carrots, sweet peas and mushroom and cook through the ingredients. Add dash of salt and pepper stir-fry over high heat. Finally, add sesame oil and it’s done. Rice ball and egg blanket 150g of Japanese short grain rice Teriyaki sauce 2 small eggs (seasoning: salt, pepper and 1/3 tsp dashi powder) 1 Crack 2 eggs and mix well in a bowl with seasoning 2 In a fry pan, make 2-3 thin omelette sheets over low medium heat Set aside 3 Mix about 1/4 of the rice with some teriyaki sauce to color it brown 4 Using cling wrap, shape the rice balls to form the head, ears , hands and tail of the fox. Set aside the remaining rice Packing the bento 1 Filled half the bento with the sautéed vegetables with meat. 2 On the other half, arrange the egg omelette with the remaining rice wrapped inside. 3 Assemble the rice balls to form the sleeping fox and add seaweed cut outs for the facial features 4 Dress up the bento with some color salad and vegetables cut outs (optional) 5 And it’s done 🦊! #PoweredbyFUJIOH #FujiohSG30 #FujiohSG #FujiohHome

These beautiful ones from @ginger.lilysingapore were clearly meant to fill the tummy ♥️🥹 I almost squealed at how gorgeous they were when I opened up this Artistry in Bloom cake collection. My personal favorite has to be The Sunflower 🌻. Bergamot Tea-infused Pain de Gênes with a rich Alphonso Mango Compote and Mango Mousse. Coming real close is the 🍫 Ginger.Lily Cacao Garden with its house-made Botanique en Fleurs 68% chocolate blend, infused with red fruits and floral essences, paired with a Chocolate Génoise. I mean chocolate always wins 😝! Changes in my life in recent years meant that I often turn to quicker prep meals. But that doesn’t mean I can’t still make them cute and tasty! A bear-y cute sandwich bento with Farmpride Black Pepper Grilled Chicken Boneless Thigh and Farmpride Chicken Karaage! I made homemade Japanese tartar which was perfect with the 🍗! Simply air fry the Farmpride Black Pepper Grilled Boneless Chicken and Farmpride Crispy Chicken Karaage (refer to package instructions). Homemade tartar sauce 1 boiled egg (chopped) 1/8 onion (finely chopped) 2 1/2 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise 1/2 tbsp milk 1/8 tsp sugar Pinch of salt and pepper Chopped parsley (optional) Place egg in pot and fill water to cover the egg by an inch. Bring to gentle boil an egg for 12 minutes. Remove cooked egg and place in ice water. Peel the egg shell, chopped the egg and set aside. Finely mince the onion. Squeeze to drain the onion to remove as much excess moisture. Finely mince the parsley. Add the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, salt, pepper and mix together with the chopped egg, minced onion and parsley. The best time of the day 🐰 breakfast 🍳. A rare cute treat for myself these days I also found a new (to me) egg brand and they have this amazing orange yolk 🥚 . Love my handmade flower cookies too!

So super excited I can get to eat @sakanouecafe’s kakigori again now that they have open a limited time pop up at Isetan Orchard for 2 weeks Got to see their kakigori being made and tasted the strawberry ice cake flavor, so ふわふわ (fluffy) I ate it all by myself. Can’t wait to try their other flavors like Sake cream with cherry blossom 🌸, and Pistachio Raspberry.
