🎥 @tobymartyn212 massive crash at the TrialGP in Arteixo 🇪🇸 NO MINDERS IS MADNESS AND TOTALLY IRRESPONSABLE ❌ The decision by @trialgp to not allow any minders in 50% of the sections is totally unacceptable and irresponsable. A decision doomed to cause serious injuries to riders in case of a crash. It didn’t take long to happen as Jitsie rider Toby Martyn suffered a bad crash in section 5 on day 2 at the TrialGP in Arteixo. A section where no minders were allowed inside the section. In the video you’ll see Toby’s big crash, falling back into sharp rocks with his bike following after him. His minder @alexzwigg can been seen rushing into the section to pick up Toby’s bike. How lucky was Toby that the bike did not land directly onto him? To ensure rider safety is why minders are necessary. Toby was in a lot of back pain and is now on route to the hospital for a full check up. Initial reports indicate he probably has not broken his back but sustained muscle damage to the lower back. We’re waiting for a full update and are keeping our fingers crossed he’s okay. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ‼️ How long will the trials community keep accepting the mismanagement and disrespect for our sport by the governing body? You’ll hear the commentator in the video state that “health and safety is paramount amongst our riders”. When you take out the minders, you increase the risk for the riders. This is unacceptable.
