YES, there are countless details in this scene but I can't possibly include every rock, seam, or texture found in nature. ⁠ ⁠ Instead, I'll generalize the specific formations in a certain area with a loose sketch. For instance, on the Gooseneck's cliffs I wasn't worrying about counting every fold of the cliff's face. I will start by shading in the obvious structures, then gradually add texture. ⁠ ⁠ In the distance I couldn't possibly worry about every canyon wall...it's a maze out there!
