To make it work, it is always important to maintain honest openness and to listen carefully to your partner's perspective. Approach communication with curiosity and love, aiming to fully comprehend why they behave as they do. Avoid becoming overly fixated on your own standpoint or reacting with heightened emotions. Remember, nothing should come between you two. A partnership means working together through both easy and tough times, which contribute significantly to mutual growth. By embracing this mindset, you strengthen your teamwork and embark on a journey of immense personal development.

Personally, I used to struggle hard with expressing my feelings for someone or addressing concerns. I was afraid of judgment and rejection, so my words mostly got stuck in my throat. I wanted to maintain harmony by dealing with things on my own, unaware that my partner could still sense that something was off. This lack of communication caused significant problems, even leading to the end of one relationship, which was my wake-up call. I adopted a „fuck it" attitude to overcome my fears. I started journaling and opening up to friends, which released built-up emotional blockages and felt incredibly relieving. As I practiced, my perception of how others would receive my sharing shifted from fear to love, understanding, and compassion. This shift is also vital when interacting with a partner. It's not just about expressing concerns, but also how we do it. Reacting with intense emotions can make the partner feel like they're doing everything wrong. Instead, taking a few deep breaths and approaching with curiosity, calmness, and love is more effective. If this resonates with you, start your own inner work. Seek guidance if needed and don't let your fears hold you back. Never take for granted what you have, not a single day. I'm immensely grateful for my past struggles as they led me to where I am now – in the most loving, supportive, understanding, and communicative partnership with my dream girl @hollylollipoppins.
