A uniform throwback 💙 Summer of 1967 might be known as the Summer of Love, but for us at SAS it is when iconic French couture house Carven designed the new, playful summer uniforms for the company. These light blue ensembles came with a classic 60s straight silhouette and they are the most popular of all of SAS’ historical uniforms – both among crew members and ­our travelers. Sweden has celebrated this national day since 1893, it is the date on which king Gustav Vasa was elected in 1523, making Sweden an independent country. Glædelig Grundlovsdag! 🇩🇰 Today, on June 5th, is the Danish Constitution Day (Grundlovsdag). In 1849 Denmark’s first constitution was signed. Because of that, this day is honored as Constitution Day and is also considered to be a day for celebrating Danish democracy. Although it's not the official national day of Denmark, it is sometimes considered the equivalent of such a day! A Day for a Future Traveler ✈️ Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming 400 EuroBonus members and their kids to a wonderful experience at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology in Oslo. This was a day focused on the future generation of travelers. As the kids met members of our staff, learned more about SAS and got to explore aviation through various activities, we could see the excitement in their eyes. Get on board the future of aviation ✈️ Reserve your seat for the first-ever commercial electric flight in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark to join in writing this next chapter in aviation history. On 2 June at 12:00 CEST we will open reservations for our first electric flight with 30 seats available for reservation on each of the three inaugural flights – which are expected to take place during the course of 2028. The ticket price for the inaugural flight will be SEK 1946 – a tribute to the year when SAS first started flying. A start-up that also marks the beginning of SAS’ innovative nature, with then-founder Wallenberg stating that “Moving from the old to the new is the only tradition worth preserving”. A surfers paradise on the Moroccan coast 🇲🇦 The coast of Agadir offers world-class waves and many perfect for beginners. The village of Taghazout, 30 minutes north of Agadir, was originally a destination for hippies, but has become a popular destination for surfers because of the great waves. Anchor Point, where you can find the most legendary waves of Morocco, is located just outside the city centre. This small town with its authentic feel is a perfect spot for a surf class! As of November 4th, we are opening new route to Agadir, Morocco, from Stockholm and Copenhagen.
