Max is “playing 9-5” 😆 Actually, he’s in school til 3. 🤷‍♀️ Weekends are busy around here and involve A LOT of coffee for Mama! ☕️☕️☕️ Max has been making my coffee every morning for years so it’s no surprise it’s his favorite flavor! Yep, coffee! (He drinks decaf when he wants some) 🫘☕️😳 Our good friends from @groundworkcoffee dropped off some extra bean sacks awhile back for Max to have fun with. He used an existing pattern as the base for this dress 👗, then embellished and changed it up quite a bit to create what you see here. Max has been making a lot of dresses from unconventional materials lately. 👗 He found this SUPER soft, sustainable fabric in Malibu at a store called @bleusalt 💙🩵 (read more below) They happened to have a “3 yard wrap” so he bought it and made this amazing dress! Of course he added his signature fringe. 💃🏽 💛💛💛 (Max was not paid for this post, he just loves this fabric and wanted to share it with you!!) 💙💙💙 👉🏼The fabric: Bleusalt’s line is made from TENCEL™ Fibers sustainably sourced from botanic tree fibers From responsibly managed and certified forests. This production process involves a closed-loop system that does not allow the chemicals to leach into the environment, minimizing waste and reducing the environmental impact. While he has learned to sew🪡🧵 , the design came naturally to Max. A lot has been trial and error. But the consistent passion has led him to dramatic growth. ❤️ After three and a half years, he is quite the sewist. But I always find this part so much more interesting. He almost never draws his ideas first. It’s more like watching a sculptor. I recently saw @zacposen on video and couldn’t believe the similarities.
