This coming Wednesday June 26th, at local favourite venue, The Celebrity Theatre Todd Rundgren brings his “Individualist Tour” to Phoenicians Known for his innovative and groundbreaking approach to changes in all aspects of his industry,  from playing the first interactive television concert in the late ’70’s to linking 40 cities in broadcasting another show nationally to opening a state of the art studio in which the VideoDisc was demonstrated in a project producing Classical work by Gustav Holst, with “The Planets” being output in this new format. Over the course of time, partnering with Apple to license the first Color Graphics tablet to his Grammy award for “Best Short Form Video in ’83 to having the first commercially downloadable music on Compuserve. These accomplishments in addition to broad appeal throughout his career from his lineup named “Todd Rundgrens’ Utopia” he’s produced for huge names such as Meat Loaf, Psychadelic Furs, Grand Funk Railroad and Hall & Oats, to name but a few. Working in the movie industry providing music for soundtracks in Dumb and Dumber as well s working with Beatle, Ringo Starr, he continues to break ground.  This is going to be another unmissable performance by a veteran of the business, one whose name is synonymous with quality, connection with his fans and delivering great shows to every audience.
