Morteza Khakshoor’s (@mortkhakshoor) upcoming exhibition “Pin-Drop” will open in Tribeca at Duane Thomas Gallery (@duanethomasgallery) on September 21st, with a reception from 6 to 8 pm. Morteza Khakshoor was born in Iran in 1984 and currently resides and works in Los Angeles. The artist relocated to the U.S. in 2010 to pursue his education in Fine Arts. This new body of work exemplifies Khakshoor’s intricate and multifaceted approach to image making. Often drawing inspiration from found photographs, Khakshoor crafts psychologically charged compositions that defy linear narratives and easy interpretations, frequently subverting gender roles and identity politics. #DuaneThomasGallery #MortezaKhakshoor

New work by #WilliamKentridge on view now @MarianGoodmanGallery, featuring ‘Oh To Believe in Another World,’ an immersive five-channel projection made in response to Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No.10. The exhibition marks the North American premiere of the film, which will be shown alongside a multi-disciplinary body of work which includes new bronze sculptures, drawings, collaged lithographs, and mixed-media puppets.

On view at Campo Cuttica through October 6th is a group show titled “Sanctuary” organized by artists and curators @Lautarooo and @Isadora.Capraro. The show brings together 14 artists for a group exhibit at the campus's 40-acre property in Flanders, NY. A former duck farm once owned by sculptor Gloria Kisch, the property is now an up and coming artist compound and home to Argentinian artist @eugeniocuttica and his family.
