Football is nothing without the people you enjoy it with, the people to share in those moments. This Fathers Day we want to celebrate a story from our community. Meet Mac, a die hard Notts County fan. After hearing his favourite player, Tommy Lawton, had transferred to County from Chelsea at 9 years old, the Magpies were his team and 74 years later nothing has changed. Through thick and thin, he’s been at Meadow Lane to see it all. From pre-season friendlies right through to Wembley, and County being back where they belong in the Football League. It’s been some ride for him. County didn’t end up running through the family as you might expect, however. For Mac’s daughter, the lure of Ipswich Town took hold. Portman Road came calling and a 28 year season ticket was the result. It passed down the generations, from parent to child, and now Mac is a black and white stripe engulfed in a sea of blue. But blood is thicker than team colours, and while Ipswich still rules supreme, the whole family has a very big soft spot for their Grandad's team. Mac’s daughter goes with him to every game that she can, and the whole family rallies round him on the big occasions. None more so than when County got their day in the sunshine, that nervy Saturday at Wembley, with everything on the line. Family and football are everything. When the two come together then there can be nothing better. For the Dads that are with us, and those that live strong in our memories. Thank you for everything you do for us. We wouldn’t be who we are without you. Happy Father’s Day.

As Martin Tyler’s announces his retirement from Sky Sports we wanted share one of our favourite moments of AOF so far. During our first year we created this animation. Our love letter to football. Somehow we managed to get it to Martin Tyler and he, through his love of the beautiful, agreed to record the commentary for it - free of charge. He welcomed my Dad and me to his home; made us a cup of tea, read through the script once over, and then recorded the whole thing in two takes. The way his voice switched from soft to booming when we started recording was insane. The voice of such iconic moments, the voice of my childhood years of FIFA, and it’s live. The whole thing was over within 30 minutes and my Dad and I just sat in the pub and we just couldn’t stop smiling. We still find it hard to explain how surreal and joyous that moment was. Manchester City made history last night. The second English team to complete a treble. Pep the first manager to do it with multiple clubs. Inter gave it their best shot, those last few minutes reminded you just how much a cup final balances on a knife edge, one moment and it could have been a different story. With all the success that City have enjoyed in recent years, it can seem difficult to make sense of the weight of last night. Their first Champions League title ever, a truly momentous thing. A team polished like no other, a manager playing a game of chess that none of us can see. For the old heads who remember those gloomy nights at Maine Road, never in their wildest dreams could they have imagined this. Saturday 10th June 2023 will live in their memories forever. Manchester came to Instanbul yesterday. They return with their clubs name etched onto the most coveted trophy in European football. To the guy who preempted it, was certain of it, so much so he got it inked onto his calf, you can wipe the sweat off your forehead now. Pep delivered. Citeh delivered. The blue side of Manchester are kings of Europe.

The Hammers woke up yesterday as European winners. You could see exactly what it meant to the boss, his first major silverware in 1,097 games. Getting to share the moment with his dad, making memories that he'll cherish for a lifetime.
