One request. SHARE. You think the horse industry is all glitz and glamour? I assure you it’s not. There’s a reason you don’t see these images on the news and in the eye of the public - no one wants you to know THIS exists. As a country we have failed horses. FAILED THEM. From the mustangs, entertainment industry, over breeding, rodeos, reservations, education - failed. BUT, we can fix it. We can become educated. We can demand change. We can support organizations working their butts off to make a difference. YOU can be apart of that. SHARE. LEARN. ASK. SUPPORT. EDUCATE. How did the barn get started? What’s our story? .. I get this question asked a lot. It’s not a simple answer. It’s been this insane journey of life that has led to what has been the last 5 years and 2 months of what is ASIAB. I spent the last six hours typing that story out so that you can understand the steps. The love. The hard work. The coincidences, that have all led to where we are today ♥️ If you’re on Instagram you can comment below for the link and ill send it to you via DM, or click the link in our Instagram Bio! IT WILL TAKE TIME BUT THIS IS HOW WE DO IT: We have our first two ‘owner surrenders’ coming in next Wednesday - this will be a prime example of an older gentleman not needing them anymore and instead of selling them at the local auction is making the choice to surrender them to us. The right choice. He doesn’t want the money, just the guarantee that they’ll be taken care of. So that’s what we will do! The fundraiser will kick off on Monday as well as the new Patreon program designed specifically for THIS program. This programs success will be because THIS circle is able to slowly grow until it’s in full effect rolling on it’s own: - Donations enable horse rescue organizations to help more horses in need, which leads to fewer horses in bad situations such as auctions and kill pens. - As the number of horses rescued and rehabilitated increases, it creates awareness that the solution is working and that progress is being made in addressing the issue of unwanted and neglected horses. - This increased awareness can help build trust in the effectiveness of the organizations' efforts, and encourage more people to donate and support the cause. - With more donations, the organizations are able to help even more horses, leading to a further reduction in the number of horses in bad situations. - The cycle continues, with each successful rescue and rehabilitation contributing to greater awareness, trust, and support for the cause, leading to more donations and more horses being helped.

A few BIG updates for you this morning! 1. We have a HUGE surprise being announced on Patreon today! —> Patreon.com/allseatedinabarn 2. Officially meet Jim, Tera and Felipe! Tera and Jim were both rescued the Monday after the auction, bought by the kill pen to ship that day. Tera is around 19/20 years old and is officially healthy enough that the vets feel confident to move forward so that she can have her eye surgery this week to remove her painful damaged eye. Jim is in his early 20’s and did test positive for cushings which is what we suspected. He will and is officially part of our RFR crew and can be sponsored on our website under ‘how to help’. He will be evaluated under saddle on the small chance a family or therapy program is looking for a lead line horse. We just want to make sure his notes are accurate so IF that day were to come, we would know that he could be an option for that. We don’t want to miss out on an amazing home for him if that were to ever be an option. Then there’s 6-7 month old Felipe! This little guy is doing great! He is also back to being healthy after he was feeling not well at the auction. You could see how fast he was breathing from his fever when we were there. WELL, gone are those days — only healthy, happy days now! He will be available for adoption in a few weeks. THEN, there’s the coffee ☕️❤️ it’s officially up on the website and orders will ship this week! If you’re on Patreon you were given the codes for a great discount which is just one more reason to sign up on Patreon. It’s like a cool coffee discount club that also supports the rescues we all love! Happy Monday everyone ❤️ oh and last but not least, our DICE ROLL MONDAY winners from last Monday are. If your name is below please email us at [email protected] for your prize :) 1. Laura Sarnak 2. Rhonda Allen 3. Patricia Murray 4. Abigail Rickert 5. Hannah Meger 6. Thelma Miller 7. Pam Mark 8. Rebecca! She continues to improve and do amazing! Her owners saw her injury which made it impossible for her to walk without being in horrible pain. Instead, they just sold her at an auction. Wiped their hands clean from having to do the right thing. Isn’t that crazy that that’s ok?! 7 weeks in and she is completely sound and doing fantastic at training! She is going to make one heck of a horse for someone when she gets through her training and enters the phase of her rehab where we feel comfortable and confident in who she is and where we have gotten her, to adopt her out. Crazy what vetting, time, patience and a little love can do 🤯🤦‍♀️🩷

Two updates for you this Saturday morning! Sorin and Rebecca. Sorin was rescued in January at the auction and Rebecca, who couldn’t even walk, was rescued in March at the auction. Sorin came in with the reservation horses, timid and scared, and after quarantine went straight to training. He’s around 3 years old and is thriving with the trainer we partnered him with. He’s such a good boy! Rebecca couldn’t even walk when we saw her at the sale. She had such a bad infection in her leg that it was causing her too much pain that she couldn’t bare weight down to walk. We immediately got her to the vet who treated her and THANK GOD, she is 100% and back to feeling fantastic. She has also since gone to training, with the same trainer as Sorin, and is doing amazing as well. It literally makes my heart happy when I get the update videos and photos because this is them getting such an amazing second chance. From feed, to vet care, to training, to literally any little thing they could need to set them up for success, THEY GET! As always and again, THANK YOU!! ❤️

Meet Marley. Two days ago I was sent a video that they shipped a load to Mexico and there was a horse that didn’t fit, would we want to come and get her for $625. I didn’t hesitate and said yes. When we got there to pick her up it was very apparent she was blind. She was also the most trusting kindest horse who trusted without a hesitation and didn’t have a mean or scared bone in her body, like she had been living this way for a long, long time. She’s an older mare in her mid 20’s - she deserves to feel better and to find a companion horse and to just live, for however long her body allows her too. We immediately got her back and she was given a bath and a ton of love. She will get a dental, her feet done, and treated like a princess until we can find the perfect match for her where she will be safe and able to just ‘be’. I didn’t have a chance to fundraise for her, but if you find it in your heart to help us financially with Marley, our goal is $4000 which is a start and at least will set her up for 6 months. After that she will need sponsors, but for now we can get her fundraised for and give her everything she needs! 💌 ᴅ̲ᴏ̲ɴ̲ᴀ̲ᴛ̲ɪ̲ᴏ̲ɴ̲s̲ ̲ᴄ̲ᴀ̲ɴ̲ ̲ʙ̲ᴇ̲ ̲ᴍ̲ᴀ̲ᴅ̲ᴇ̲ ̲ᴠ̲ɪ̲ᴀ̲:̲ -VENMO: @ASIABrescue under CHARITY -PAYPAL | [email protected] -ZELLE | [email protected] -CASHAPP| $asiabrescue *OR click the link in our Instagram Profile for direct links to ALL donation platforms▪️ #horses #horsesofinstagram #outdoors #texas

Who remembers Susan 👋 She went through the later part of the evening during the auction at the February sale. This is why I always am pleading not to stop donating because they don’t stop needing help throughout the 10-12 hour auction day. Susan was super emaciated, just a walking skeleton. She has in two months gained all her weight back to the point where we had to do a pregnancy check on her (that belly!). NOT PREGGO! She’s in her early 20s which means to us that she most likely spent a lot of years raising babies and being pregnant giving her tummy that droopy look. Well, she is not part of our RFR program due to her age and inability to be ridden due to no training at all in that department. It doesn’t make sense financially for us to start training an early 20s horse (that’s just my opinion you can absolutely do it though!) Susan is doing great and can be sponsored (you’ll receive a super cute magnet of her!) via our website under HOW TO HELP, or by either commenting below and we will send you the link or clicking the link in our IG/FB stories ❤️ #gosusango #horsesofinstagram #beforeandafter #transformation #horses #asiab #allseatedinabarn

Welp, today Farrah is absolutely feeling a million times better! She was absolutely infested with lice. INFESTED. MILLIONS of them. Her coat was disgusting so we decided to shave her and give her a bath and holy moly she already feels a million times better. She is in a fully covered stall so she won’t get sunburned while her hair grows in and a blanket at night so she isn’t cold. Unfortunately, donkeys with long coats tend to get lice super easy since the long thick hair makes for the perfect environment for them to thrive. Unfortunately in the spring and summer it is more common than we think in these donkeys. Something I have definitely learned over the last couple of years. It’s super annoying! Farrah kept her name sake bangs but she will not grow a healthy non wormy, non lice infested coat. Onward and upward for this sweet little girl! ❤️ PS for inquisitive minds and those asking I’ve found that Pyrannah Gold fly spray works immediately on equine lice (different from people lice) and kills them on the spot! #horserescue #horses #donkeys #babydonkeys #springday

Brittany was rescued in January at the auction completely shut down, sick and scared. In 3 months, all the thanks to Hayden and her mom, she is thriving and beautiful, and ready to find her forever home. She is only around 17-19 months old, imagine her around 3 ready to start the journey to be a riding horse. Her ground work is done which means she is able to load the trailer, lift her feet, halter broke, round pen basics etc. This beautiful girl is a true Cinderella story — she’s going to make someone the best project baby = best friend = life partner. Introducing: Argo, Maui, Bex, Farrah and Roperta! All saved the beginning of this month at the auction. Everyone is doing great! So far, no one has really come up sick from these five. Roperta had her x-rays and exam and from being so inbred she has some physical limitations, but nothing that won’t stop her from living an amazing long life. Argo, the paint that we rescued from shipping to slaughter Monday after the auction, is in his early 20s and will remain a RFR (retired from riding) horse with us. He isn’t suitable to hold a rider so will just live the good life with us until someone is looking for a sweet, kind, handsome companion horse. Maui (paint families babies daddy) and Bex, were both gelded and in rehab now. Both of them are super gentle and we are excited for their journey to finding their forever homes! Farrah is around 6 months and is a baby standard Jenny with hair that anyone would be jealous of! I mean, THE BANGS! We are going to be shaving her in the next week to treat her for lice which can be common in donkeys in the spring time, especially with a shaggy coat like hers. We will do our best to spare the bangs! I have my alarm set for 2 PM every day and will do my best to post updates of the rescues from the April auction, as well as integrating pictures of rescues from previous months on the stories on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and of course Patreon (LOTS of updates there!) Thank you for trusting us and for giving them this amazing opportunity ❤️ #horsesofinstagram #horselove #getoutdoors #makeadifference #beforeandafter
