Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ivana hyun @ivanahyun_

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I don’t do much. I am doing makeup and videos for YouTube, I’m going to the college (overseas which is USA) and I’m still working on it. I am from Indonesia.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love everything about makeup, skin care, beauty, fashion, food, travel, and dogs. Mostly, i post about Makeup tutorials, selfies, my traveling story on instagram.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well, ivana is my actual name. And “hyun” is a korean name. I was all about Korea when i was in elementary school until junior high school. I love SNSD (Girls Generation) and there’s someone in there who called Seohyun. She was my bias and i added the name “hyun” into my name. That’s it. And my friends started to call me hyun. So i named my instagram @ivanahyun_

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I don’t edit my photo like crazy. Everytime i post pictures on Instagram, i always edit it on instagram only. Whether it’s just the saturation, brightness, contras, highlight, or shadow. That’s it.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Mostly beauty gurus. I love kathleenlights, mannyMUA, patrickstarrr, bretmanrock, jaclynhill, jeffreestar, nikkietutorials, nikitadragun, just beauty gurus I guess. Oh and i love instagram beauty page which is wakeupandmakeup . Love her!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I’m not sure. Just make sure they love makeup and me. 😉

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part is when i can tell my followers about the product. Specially if the product is fantastic, i would love they to try it too. But i love to share about “not working” product. So they can know that the product doesn’t work on my skin, but it might be work on their skin. Or maybe someone who has they same skin type as mine, they can find out about the product. Plus, i am always 100% honest about products specially beauty products. Even if i got the products for free, i always talk about it honestly.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Tips to brands for running campaigns: if it’s beauty brands, just work on something that EVERYBODY can use. For example, foundation. Make it has A LOT of shades even the darkest skin color. So everyone can use it. And PLEASE don’t test it on animals.
Keep on working for something good and the goodness will come.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Of course it’s important. You are fake if you post something that not yours. Just post what’s yours and someone will appreciate it more. You don’t want your best photo / vid is taken by someone and they say that that’s theirs. You know what i mean?

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I LOVE finding new brands and try them out. I would love to know if they work on me or not. Are they worth the money or not. It’s like a mission for me.
