Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Dani Bee @eatmystreet

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a food and lifestyle blogger from Melbourne and I write about “good food for the good life.” In my “real life” I am actually a registered Psychologist with an obsession with food, connection and community. I feel the happiest when I am cooking in my kitchen or discovering somewhere beautiful and delicious to eat out and I love encouraging other people to discover the things that make them the happiest too.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My most popular posts on Instagram feature tasty dishes from some of the best restaurants and cafes in and around Melbourne. I also love posting photos of my own adventures in the kitchen and I am a little obsessed with tea, flowers and books.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

When I moved to a new part of Melbourne I found myself feeling a little lonely and lost. Exploring all the great food venues in my new area was a great way to meet new people and connect with like minded foodies. The name Eat My Street comes from that place; me eating my way around my new town. Now I have been fortunate enough to also explore some other charming towns and explore their foodie secrets too.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

My number one tip for good photos is take lots of them! I learnt the hard way that I should always take a lot more photos than I think I need, to make sure I get that one good shot.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are lots of Instagrammers that I really like. @Annies_kitchen and @sault_daylesford are to Instagram feeds that I can never scroll past without clicking “love”. They both feature beautiful locations and lovingly prepared food in a stunning setting.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Get outside somewhere beautiful and take a great shot there.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Well I love looking at other people’s great photos of food, travel and art and I really enjoy it when other people reach out and let me know that they have enjoyed my photos too. So that is the best thing about being an influencer, connecting with great people. I also get to eat delicious food cooked by some very talented people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be creative, try and maintain “fresh eyes” if you can, even if it means collaborating with other people occasionally. Even beautiful Instagram feeds suffer over time if there is no fluidity to what is being posted.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Great images are full of story. To create quality content you have to keep on learning, discovering and uncovering new stories that long to be told.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love bringing fresh eyes to an existing product and helping to uncover the story. Partnering with brands really allows this to occur and it is wonderful and exciting to meet new people who are passionate about their product and help share that with the community.
