Mentorship & Scholarship Program Cohort II @maudyayundafoundation The workshop last weekend marks the end of our 10+ sessions together, online and offline. It’s been quite the journey: from thousands of applicants to 32 mentees that now feel like family. I appreciate each of you for showing up energetic to each session, despite being based all over the world and having to deal with time differences! Know that each session energize and inspire me. A big shoutout to our speakers @ranggahusnaprawira @afutami and Mas Dana from @cimb_niaga for sharing your respective career journeys in our workshop last weekend. It was so refreshingly vulnerable and insightful. And thank you to @cimb_niaga for being our main donor and supporting the sustainability of this program. ❤️

Beberapa tahun lalu aku sempat bertanya-tanya: kenapa ya cerita Indonesia masih jarang diangkat dalam konteks ekosistem kecantikan, di ranah lokal maupun secara global? Padahal negeri kita, dengan lebih dari 17,000 pulau, menyimpan banyak cerita, tradisi, dan inspirasi. Kekayaan alamnya juga tidak terbandingkan. Dari benih pertanyaan itu, lahirlah @fromthisisland. Skincare brand yang berupaya untuk menceritakan kisah tanah air kita, melalui pemberdayaan ekstrak botani dan superfoods yang ditumbuhkan di tanah Indonesia, oleh petani Indonesia. Beserta peran riset, sains, dan teknologi paten yang kami miliki, beberapa hari lagi kami akan memperkenalkan produk-produk skincare yang aman dan efektif untuk berbagai kebutuhan kulit. A day to remember Ibu Kartini. As always, we acknowledge her revolutionary thoughts and fight for gender equality and education. But today, I want to reflect on another piece of the story. Her journey was also one of authenticity. Her writings reflect a continuous intellectual struggle against the status quo. It must not have been easy to feel like the only voice, against the current of “pendapat kolot dan adat usang” (her words). And pushing for change often comes at a huge cost to the pioneers. Here’s to that bravery. Authenticity. Here’s to us doing the same with our voices. ❤️
