We blinked and it happened—Harlen is 5 today! 🖐🏼 This little bundle of pure love and a sprinkle of chaos has made our lives that much more fun and exhausting, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. He is (and I know parents say this all the time, but) the smartest kid I know. He loves to learn everything and we are endlessly proud of him. PT. 5 and the last one! Our Monterey trip wouldn’t be a trip without the @montereybayaquarium. Parents planning a trip here: stay at the @mariposainnandsuites! We loved its proximity to downtown and convenient stores across the street. Swipe to see H’s excitement for the Nemos and Dorys. 🐟🐠

PT. 4! If you’re going to the Bay, don’t skip out on Monterey. We’ve gone a handful of times before and couldn’t wait to show H the aquarium and our favorite spots. It’s not a far drive from South Bay, and close to other beach spots like Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, and Carmel. We took one detour to Santa Cruz for an epic round of mini golf and games at the boardwalk. Ended the night with pizza and checked into the cozy @mariposainnandsuites. 🦋

PT. 3! We split up our #SF stay and opted for something with a view courtesy of @hotelcazasf. Loved all of the indoor games and convenient store inside the lobby for families. Traveling with kids is humbling to say the least, and this was a great day because we actually slowed things down a lot and just let H be a kid. #hotelcaza #sanfrancisco #alwayssf

PT. ✌🏼 Our first full day of #SF adventures led us to: GGB views, Ghirardelli Square, Lombard St, Painted Ladies, and Golden Boy 🍕 for dinner.
