Rest In Peace DAD - Today my dad passed away. I wanted to say this about him and his life, and also a lil bit about myself. These words I mean with the utmost respect: Growing up I didn’t understand my father as well as I do now. He was a tough guy, a cholo who would get busted and come out to his wife and kids. He was kind of disconnected from us in a way. He was grouchy and sometimes he was aggressive with us, but he would have moments where he would show us love. I know he loved his family, but he grew up without his father, so he never was taught how to be a loving caring person. But he never quit on his family. When he got older all of his ways caught up to him; his wife (my mom) divorced him, his sons were all out of the house and almost all of his homeboys were either dead or in prison. At that moment, in his later life I felt the need to get to know my father better as a person. I would stay entire days with him when he wasn’t feeling well, and just try to get to know him as a person. I’m very glad that I did. No amount of therapy can help you understand yourself better than spending time with the ones who made you. And I also learned from his life that if you are too busy for your loved ones, or too infatuated with putting your friends or other women/men first, partying or whatever it is, more than your own family, that one day you may end up without them. We never truly left him as his sons, but I know in my heart (and he told me himself) he felt messed up for losing his family to the life... I’m sharing his story to help others as well as myself. He did change eventually when he was older, he did accomplish many things, he became a lot of things, later in life he learned compassion, love, and wisdom of someone who had been through a lot. We have a lot of great memories together, later in life he became my friend. And we are blessed to have had him in our lives. Unfortunately Covid took his body, but the Lord has his soul... I love you pops. I’ll see you again sometime, love always your son...
Happy New Year🎉. May everyone’s New Year be blessed. Last night was a 🎥💯
When I was sleeping on the floor, I had my grandmas love. When I was flat broke, I still had friends and loved ones around me. When I was in prison, I still had my mind & memories that were free. And I can say a whole lifetime of things like this, but I’m sure you get the point of what I’m trying to say: There are so many reasons to be thankful. If you take the time to notice what you are thankful for, you will feel more positive. And from positive thinking comes positive actions and results. It’s your life to live, you choose... Much love 💯 #Krypto
