Flowing in the ocean. 到處飄泊 到處追逐 • Located in the northeast region of the city is Ap Chau, the smallest inhabited island in Hong Kong, with a size of just 0.04km². About a dozen of residents live there at present, though there used to be around 1,000 residents on the island at its peak, mainly fishermen and their families. In addition, owing to its close proximity to Mainland China, many illegal migrants escaping China landed on this island as they swim across the border to Hong Kong, years before the transfer of sovereignty. Ap Chau (literally: Duck Island) is also known for its ochre-coloured rock formation that is shaped like a duck head with a sea arch forming an "eye" when observed from a distance. It is part of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark.

Mostly built between the 1950s and the early 1980s, these factory estates witness the history of manufacturing in Hong Kong, and Sui Fai Factory Estate was one of them. Due to redevelopment plans to build public housing, a number of factory estates, including Sui Fai, were vacated earlier in the year. Of more than 2,200 businesses that faced demolition, about 60 of them were allowed to move to another government-owned factory premise; the others may have settled in private industrial buildings or may have been forced to close down their businesses.
