☑️ How to approach your application task. The Hyper Island journey can begin in many ways: a spontaneous idea, a recommendation, or an eye-catching ad. But turning that idea into a reality starts with the Application Task. The amount of talent our students have? Limitless! This May, Christopher Dundeberg (@christopherdundeberg) from Digital Creative 24 won the Red Bull Doodle Art 2023 competition in Sweden. And it didn’t even stop in Sweden, he went all the way to Amsterdam to meet 62 other winning contestants from across the world! 💡 How did it start you may ask? In March, Red Bull’s representatives came to Hyper Island’s campus and handed mysterious QR codes that allowed students to apply for this competition, which is exactly what Christopher did - took a challenge in true Hyper fashion! 🇳🇱 During his days in Amsterdam, Christopher got to meet and collaborate with huge names in doodling like @mrdoodle and @burnttoast, enjoy tons of thematic activities arranged by Red Bull - taking a breakdance class, visiting a graffiti museum, and expanding his network by meeting other artists in the most unique locations. And all that thanks to daring to show the talent he has. ❤️ It is always a pleasure to follow the journeys of our phenomenal students and today we want to celebrate Christopher for this achievement, as well as for drastically changing his career path from a previous bank-related job to studying at Hyper Island. Can you imagine collaborating with a brand as iconic as @ikea? We sure do! 🇸🇪 For the first time in history, Hyper Island collaborated with IKEA’s team to run a fantastic three-day sprint that involved 120 great minds of our current students! Business Developer, Content Developer, and Digital Creative programs got an opportunity to unite their powers and knowledge to work on this amazing project and present their ideas to IKEA’s team. 💛 We want to express huge appreciation for the enthusiasm and professionalism of everyone involved in making this one-of-a-kind collaboration happen! Victoria Todorova from the Learning Partnership Team of Hyper Island who facilitated this event and who always brings the best clients and opportunities for our students to have these unique experiences. Let's celebrate the finale of SAMSUNG x Hyper Island's Solve for Tomorrowprogram! 🎉 After a 4-month boot camp where the participants learned the latest in tech, design thinking, and sustainability, our 11 finalists rocked the stage by pitching their ideas to a jury of industry experts: Elin Wallberg Waldenström, Anna Nying, Lucella Bergström, and Matilda Norrman. Congratulations to Hugo Kinneteg, the winner of this year's program. He was rewarded with 5000€ to further develop his idea for making communication more accessible for individuals with hearing impairments. The runner-up, Jakob Laudon, received 2500€ to continue exploring his vision of inspiring people to make more sustainable choices in everyday life. 🏆 A huge shoutout goes to Alexander Grimsen for collaborating with us to bring this program to life, as well as our amazing contributors: Mariana Leone and Abraham Abbi Asefaw.
