The last piece of the series, and my personal favorite part of living in Korea, Korean FOOD! Hansik literally translates to Korean Eat, and to be honest, when I first came to Korea I didn't particularly like Korean food and felt everything taste similar. However, over the years, I've grow to love pretty much all Korean food, especially Soondae-guk! On top of that, I find Korea even have some of the best Italian pastas that I've eaten. I'm quite sure it's not authentic Italian, but more of a fusion to suit the taste for Koreans. Being Chinese born in Canada and lived 1/3 of my life in Korea, my weekly meal must consist of 1/3 Chinese, 1/3 Western and 1/3 Korean food :) Hope everyone enjoy the little mini-Korea series, and I'll be back to the regular mooshy sappy lovey episodes next! 2nd last piece of the series! Namsan tower was build in 1971, and it broadcasts signals for various Korean media outlet. It has became a landmark in seoul and attracts many tourist each year. There is also an area next to the tower, Lock of Love, where thousands of couples come and hang locks on the fence as a symbol of eternal love. Buddhist temples are a big part of the Korean culture and you can find it at many different locations all across Korea. Because of the peaceful romantic vibe of Nami, It's also a very popular place for couples or family to spend the day. The railbike experience at Gangchon was quite a nice relaxing and romantic experience where you pedal on the rail bike along a long old railroad track and enjoy the lovely sceneries along the way! Jeju island is perhaps one of the most beautiful place in Korea. To me it is unique because it's has so many different and unique sightseeing locations all gathered within this one small island. It's also very memorable for us because it's one of the first trip that we took together when we were dating. (For anyone curious, the little statues are called "Dol hareubangs" which are the gods that protect the island, and they're found everywhere in Jeju! ******* This is part 7/12 of a mini-series about HJ-Story in Korea!
