3 THINGS I PRIORITIZE WITH MY TRAINING⤵️ 1. UNILATERAL MOVEMENTS: these exercises allow me to isolate, identify and improve muscle imbalances allowing me to cultivate speed and power harmoniously (and injury free). Examples: single leg deadlift, squat, plank etc) 2. LATERAL STRENGTH & POWER: Our body’s natural movement extends beyond one plane, which is why I actively incorporate lateral movements like lateral lunges, ice skaters, pull throughs, etc. diversifying planes of motion is KEY for creating a well-rounded foundation and help with preventing injury! 3. ECCENTRIC TRAINING: This is where “less is more” really applies. This method places an emphasis on time under tension, optimizing muscle activation and strength stability. I typically follow 4-1-1-1 tempo. 4 seconds lowering the weight 1second brief pause at the bottom 1-2 second lifting the weight 1 section holding at the top. #EvolveNation Fueled by @reignbodyfuel ⛈️

Bringing back one of my favorite hiit workouts (save for later & read below!)🔥 When it comes to cardio, ALL methods are good. While I do favor hiit over liss (low intensity steady state), I still incorporate both. Whats important to know is which cardio method is best for YOU. Evaluating your lifestyle, schedule and fitness level will help you decide. LISS is amazing for beginners or even advanced people who are dealing with injuries. I incorporate 30+ minute walks 2-3x a week. I always suggest hiit training for: -intermediate to advantaged levels. -ATHLETES -for those who are limited on time for training each day - for those who easily get distracted and/or lose interest after 20-30 minutes of training - for those who spend too much time on their phone. Interval training leaves little room for scrolling It’s much easier to focus your energy on 20 minutes versus hour. When you’re on a time crunch you tend to do better The list goes on and on… HIIT TRAINING CONDITIONS THE MIND AND BODY. 🧠 The workout: 20 seconds of each exercise not listing reps. Rest 10 seconds after each exercise. * Dynamic Single leg jumps * Side shuffle to reverse jump * 10 Spider-Man push-ups * 10 Wall Kick Backs * Dynamic Lunge Jumps * Push-back to push up + bicep curl * Skip the last one unless you want to die 😜 Rest 3 minutes after round. Elevate your push-ups (read below & save for later) 💪🏽 To get good at pushups: repetition and variety are key. While I do post a lot of my explosive and ‘fancy’ combo push-ups, I got to this level by focusing on the fundamentals (and still do). Sometimes, we see a cool video online and miss the simplicity of the training it took to get to that level. Here’s a reminder to focus on the basics and to be consistent with them. Push-ups require more than a strong chest. Explosive push-ups NEED a strong core and stabilizer muscles. This is especially important when it comes to injury prevention. What you should do to elevate your push-ups: • spilt training 3x a week • exercises in this video 8 reps x 2 sets | 2 - 3 x a week depending on your level of soreness • prioritize tempo and body weight exercises/reps • upper body mobility 1 - 2 x week It’s not just about “how much weight you can push” but rather how much weight you can control.
