👋 Hi! It's been a while... like, months since my last post! In fact, I just needed a giant break from my social media. But, I have still been working away in the meantime and have some fun new things to share. But first, I thought I would break my silence by re-introducing myself! And, if you've recently started following me, welcome! 😃 Here are some fun facts: ⭐ I live in the small town of Crozet, VA nestled just outside of Shenandoah National Park with my very handsome fiancé, Ben. We met on Instagram via #craftbeer (yes, seriously) in 2014 and have been taking beer adventures ever since! We were planning to get married this year, but, 2020.... ⭐ I'm almost always guaranteed to order a Pale Ale or IPA... and I actually prefer a more traditional IPA over a hazy (as I'm pictured here drinking a hazy 😆). ⭐ I started Craft Brewed Jewelry in 2015 because I couldn't find beer gear that looked stylish. I had cabinets full of glassware and my closet was overrun with beer shirts I mostly never wore, so, I set out to create some beer gear that worked with everyday fashion. I chose to create from beer cans because I'm really drawn to beer can art. ⭐ I've been way into arts / crafts / design for as long as I can remember. From cross-stitch to crochet, painting, chalk pastel, re-finishing furniture, jewelry, and everything in between.... I have tried it all and I love it all. 🍻CHEERS TO 5 YEARS!🍻 (Also, long post alert)⠀ On this day, 5 years ago, I sold my very first piece! I joined in on a setup that @thebeertrale had at Thirsty Orange Beer Fest in Johnson City, TN wanting to test out a small amount of product to see if I had something worth selling.... Little did I know, these bracelets would end up sending me all over the country. 🤩⠀ ⠀ The past five years have taught me A LOT! But, most of all, I made loads of incredible memories! (Perhaps I'll share some of those in future posts) ⠀ ⠀ I know I've been pretty silent on social media for the past few months, but, I was using that quiet time to reset, recharge, and do some life things (like moving and planning my wedding). And, I know we are in weird times right now, but, I think it's important to celebrate your wins big and small - and, well, five years of making and selling these jewelry pieces.... I think that's a pretty big win! 🥳⠀ ⠀ With that said, I have a lot of fun things planned for the remainder of the year, but for now, I want to try to give back to the community that has given me so much opportunity. You may have noticed I haven’t been active much on social media this year... That wasn’t the original goal, but 2019 brought me a great opportunity in marketing for one of the craft breweries that made me fall in love with craft years ago, so, I let promoting CBJ fall to the back-burner a bit. 2019 also put getting engaged and a new house into play which meant moving and getting settled in... and with a new home, means a better space for working on jewelry! 🙌🏻 As this year comes to a close, 2020 marks CBJ’s FIFTH year in business! 🥰 I am blown away by the mad support this business has received since the start and I have some fun stuff in store for 2020 to celebrate you all in a big way!
