💥LADIES, HOW DID YOU GIVE BIRTH?? Vaginal or C-Section ?? I am just curious since finding out that my son has a terrible sense of direction JUST like his mother 🥶🥶🥶 . 💥 I was a breech baby ( born leg 🦵 first and head last) my mother makes sure to remind me every time we meet how I almost killed her 😝😝 and how I was the hardest birth she had ( no s-section available for her in Africa at the time so she had to give birth to me that way. Very dangerous).. . 💥My son who has always been a good boy head down as he is supposed to be, last week he changed plans. He decided to be just like his mother and explore the other side of my tummy and he turned 😏😏😏 ( bottom down )..... I left the meeting with the midwife crying because that changes things up a bit (darn pregnancy hormones)… . . 💥 But I decided to snap out of it!!!!… Yes, we might have expectations for things to go one way, we do our very best BUT, life happens….And when things change ? We have to go with changes. I have been telling myself that there billion of children born through c-section and both mother and child are just fine despite the longer recovery… in other words ? NOT the end of the world.. . . 💥 My brother has 4 kids and 3 of them if not ALL 4 where born through c-section and both kids and mom are perfectly fine. . . 💥 We are still hoping that my little guy changes his mind again and finds the right exit by week 37. But if not ? I take it as it comes!! . . 💥 But one thing I am slightly mad about is I have worked so hard to be strong and have LOTS of muscles to push this baby out… but now there is a possibility I might not even use those muscles 🤬🤬🤬 what a waste!! 💥JUNE Will be the last month I get to workout together with my son. I will encourage and teach him the values of self care of course… But at the end of the day he will still have to make that decision for himself like all of us have to 😊 . . 💥 For today’s workout all standing ab exercises …. Why?? because at 8 months ? Being on the floor is an exercise in itself 😂😂😂.. .. but luckily it’s not needed and to be honest standing abs are extremely effective!! . . 💥 Beginners start with body weight. More advanced you can add a pair of dumbbells like I did or even kettlebells. Each exercise 30 seconds 2-3 rounds . . 💥 MOST important Always listen to your body and do what feels challenging yet comfortable… We are all in different fitness levelS so one size doesn’t fit all.. and please don’t compare yourself with anyone else. Everyone has a different level of experience in their baggage 🧳…. It’s always you vs you!! NO need to feel bad if you can’t do what someone else is doing and no need to attack someone else because they are doing something you can’t do… We allow others to inspire us to move without comparison or judgement. 💥 ONLY 5 weeks till I meet my first love!! My son 🥰🥰🥰.. somebody pinch me!!!… I am excited yet super nervous… Kids are a HELL of a responsibility and I hope that I will be the kind of mother he deserves 🙏🏾🙏🏾🥹🥹.. . . 💥 Today’s workout is all about targeting those back muscles!! Grab your dumbbells and a mini booty band and let’s put that back on fire 🔥🔥🔥 . . 💥Workout Detail : Complete each exercise 10-15 reps, 2-3 rounds . . 1- We start with dumbbells rows. A combination of double rows and single rows. . 2- Second we move on to upright rows. . 3- Third exercise we grab a lighter dumbbells and so rear delt rows . 4- Forth exercise still using the lighter dumbbells we do reverse flys . 5- For exercise #5 we grab the mini resistance bands and start with single arm rows . 6- And for the last exercise you use both a dumbbell and the resistance bands for maximum resistance and do seated rows 💪🏾💪🏾 . . You can either do each exercise 2-3 rounds or do all of the 6 exercises and then repeat 2-3 round in a circuit. 💥LADIES, how old where you on your first pregnancy?? 🥹🥹 I am guessing most where not on the 35+ “ RISK GROUp”??.. . . 💥Of course I did not know this!.. I learned when I finally decided to get pregnant that at my age ( 37 ) I was considered “ risk group “… Which means that getting pregnant at my age means higher risk for complications such as : . * Higher risks for having a child with Down syndrome. * Higher risk for Gestational diabetes. * Higher Risk for Developing high blood pressure. * Greater risks of premature birth. * Higher risk of miscarriage and stillbirth. * It might take longer to great pregnant due to lower quality of the eggs.. . . Etc etc etc etc… . * Luckily of course there are things that pregnant mamas can do to lower many of those risks which is to take care of our physical bodies 😊 (for those who are medically able to )…Some of the recommendations for a healthy pregnancy are : * To Eat a healthy diet and take our prenatal vitamins. * To Gain weight wisely Because Gaining the right amount of weight can support our baby’s health. * Regular physical activity to help ease discomfort during pregnancy, boost energy and improve overall health. Etc etc etc etc . . 💥So for me it has gotten old that people still feel the need to lecture me about the importance of “rest” when pregnant.Am like hello? I am not 25 okay? This old lady needs to keep this body in shape so I can have as healthy pregnancy as I can 😝😝😝.. Many pregnant women are not as lucky to be able to be active even if they wanted to due to complications. . . 💥 Anyway! I feel like I am being rewarded for the pain and suffering of the first trimester 🤓🤓🤓🙈🙈🙈 . . 💥 First trimester I was pretty much a Vegetable. All I did was sleep and puke. It was a nightmare to say the least 🥶🥶🥶… and I did say “ I would never do this again on various occasions “….. Second was a combination of good and bad days. (Unless I overdo which I try my best NOT to as it completely defeats the purpose of exercise)… I am ONLY in pain when I DON’T exercise.. not only physical pains BUT ALSO exhaustion. . . 💥 it’s very common for people to develop all kinds of pains ( back, hips , joints etc ) when we don’t exercise. This we all already now.. . . 💥 The funny part is ? That becomes 200% more true during pregnancy. It’s like the rate of back pain, hip pain just triples… And that is because the body is working soo hard to create a new human and also the extra weight we have to carry in the front.. so for me?? if I don’t exercise then I am in pain, I am tired, and super unmotivated… . . 💥 Now one thing I DEFINITELY have to do more now than ever is to incorporate mobility exercises into my workout routine.. . . WHY???? . . 💥Because mobility exercises help us move more freely, feel better in our body, reduce pain and stiffness, improve posture, increase blood flow and of course improve flexibility and enhance performance.. in other words mobility exercises helps me exercise with more ease ☺️ . . 💥 Save this workout if you want to be able to exercises with more ease, reduce pain and stiffness, specifically on the lower back and hips, or suffer for arthritis . . —— I always start with warming up for about 5 minutes.
