Today we ran for breast cancer research 🎀. 3 miles, 19 obstacles, and a lotttt of MUD! 💪🏼

TikTok made me do it ツ☟ I’ve battled with anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember. For years I’ve used negative coping mechanisms to suppress and numb my emotions. Five months ago I was scrolling through TikTok and landed on a video where a guy asked an older woman, who overcame cancer twice and almost died, “What advice would you give to the younger generation?” She said, “JUST GO ON THE MEDS! Life is too short”. The next day I scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist and finally went on the meds. My. Life. Has. Changed. I know meds aren’t for everyone. It’s not easy having to deal with your body adjusting to the meds, trial and error with dosing, enduring uncomfortable symptoms, etc., but the results, for me, have been incredible…healthier marriage, higher level of productivity, steady emotions, motivated, clear-minded, and able to more easily find wholeness ✙. @tiktok #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalillness #mentalhealthrecovery #mentalhealthadvocate
