E sai che il nome deriva da “sale”, scovato dai Celti nelle miniere sui monti? Ciò ha reso ricca la città. E che è profondamente legata all’Italia, grazie a tre principi-arcivescovi nel ‘600 che hanno trasformato una città medievale in una moderna capitale barocca, ispirandosi a Roma? Tanti artisti italiani furono impiegati ed in piazza Residenzplatz una fontana copia il tritone di Bernini. Per gli amanti delle foto è il massimo! Anche perché la fortezza di Salisburgo è un magnifico sfondo, oltre che imperdibile. Inoltre ha luoghi pieno di fascino come i cimiteri storici, chiese dal barocco trionfale e negozi tradizionali come il Cafè Tomaselli. Ma è la città di Mozart e della musica, celebrato in ogni modo: le sue due case sono musei, ha una piazza e una statua e le palle di Mozart di cioccolato sono il souvenir perfetto da comprare. Invece la musica è celebrata con tantissime iniziative culturali, come il famoso Festival di Salisburgo che d’estate propone numerosi spettacoli, attirando turisti da tutto il mondo; ci sono andato anche io: è come un affascinante rito pagano, con regole precise da rispettare.
