Check out our thought process to this kitchen remodel…what stays? What goes? Where can we save money? We wanted to open up the kitchen so we got rid of the island. We didn’t need two doors so we got rid of one of them and turned it into area for cabinets and countertops. The floors and countertops had to go, but instead of replacing them with expensive Materials, we chose Quartz (vs granite) for the countertops and 100% waterproof vinyl (vs wood/engineered wood) for flooring. With the flooring being waterproof, we were able to install it throughout the house…even the bathrooms!

We didn’t need multiple doors, so we got rid of one and added storage along that wall. The countertops and floors HAD to go. To save money we went with quartz for the countertops (vs granite) We saved money upgrading the flooring with 100% waterproof Vinyl (vs real/engineered wood).
