HUMANS OF SASSAFRAS 🌻 Meet Avishar! Many of you know Avishar as executive chef @servicebar and @bravotopchef competitor. In the earliest days of Service Bar’s operations I was invited to work a shift on the line where I treasured the chance to work under his tutelage. It was truly awesome to see Avishar firsthand: a wildly creative and gifted chef, an incredibly kind human who is extraordinarily supportive of his team, and who is ridiculously generous with his time and expertise. The experience of that one night has informed my decision making for years to come. So what does this have to do with Sassafras?! 💛 It gives me great pleasure to let you know that Avishar has taken over the former Sassafras Bakery brick and mortar space. Once he’s ready to open, I know that he’ll blow you away, and that you’ll support him as much as you’ve supported Sassafras all these years.
